| small dent in my dust cap...fixable? | sean Mar 6, 2001 8:01 PM | | I just bought a pair of audio physic tempo 2's and one of the woofers has a small dent in the dust cap.(tip of pinkie finger sized) I got a great deal on these speaks so I didn't mind the dent. Is there a way to fix it? Any suggestions welcome. |

1. First try to "suck" it out using the hose part of a vacuum cleaner (set the vacuum to low-power).
2. If that doesn't work, then get a toothpick and some super glue. Put just a dab of superglue on the toothpick then stick it (gently! - possibly use a cotton swab?) in the middle of the dent and carefully pull outward. Once it's in place, just roll the toothpick off (twist it in your fingers) to break its hold.
I recommend the 1st step as this worked best for me and is the least risky for your speaker.
Good luck! |

Vacuum hose sucking method first. If that doesn't work, wet the dust cover with a damp cloth which will soften the paper. Then try the hose again, it will come out. After the cover dries, it will harden. It really doesn't hurt the sound, dents just look funky! Success
