I just bought some audio physic tempo 2's they are astounding speakers. the new version, the tempo 3's are incredible also and carry a $3000U.S. price tag. That's a little over your budget but I think this would be money very well spent.

Check out the nOrh.

From $150USD to $3,000USD. You can read all the reviews here and there.

Do a search at google.com for norh.

Stop apologizing for your English.

The internet is international... and your English is just fine.

Alex - the good one.

Well nOrh makes great speakers at very reasonable prices, but it was my understanding that in Canada, canadian speakers are very reasonable because the government subsidizes the speaker manufactures R&D.

Maybe you can find some very nice Canadian made speakers. If not, for the money it is harder to do better than norh IMHO

Here's another option to look at. At this point, I seem to be the only one around here who has actually heard the Divas by Swan, and I am very pleased with them. They come with a 30 return, and won an Exceptional Value Award at CES 2000. Happy looking.

Try Mission 774, 782 or older Rega ELA if you still find a pair, Monitor Audio Silver 7 (no 5). Avoid mid-bass heavy speakers and mid-range laid-back speakers.

I have them hooked up with a classe ssp25 and citation 7.1. I bought them new after a long decision making process between B&W and Paradigm. I've never looked back eversince.

ACI Sapphire IIIs and a Titan II for 2500. Great value...

For floorstanders, maybe PSB Stratus Silvers...especially given the value in Canada.

How big is your room? What kind of music do you like? And what is important to you when you listen to music?

I just noticed that was Canadian money so you may have to search for
used models for some I listed.
I recently found a used pair of 1999 model Legacy Classics for $1,800
that a friend bought. With no equalization they measured +/- 6dB from 25Hz. on up using a slow sine wave frequency sweep to capture all room resonances -- this is the best unequalized frequency response I have measured in a home listening room -- although I believe the fact that he sits only six feet from his speakers (that's where I placed the microphone) helped smooth the measurements somewhat.
