Need advice for center channel...MAM133
Mar 9, 2001 9:27 AM
Presently have Boston Acoustics T840's to use as suuround sound fronts. What would be some "viable" center channel possibilities?
Thanks 4 your help.

Hi,
Have you concidered the Boston VR920? VERY cool. If you notice, they actually have the midrange BELOW the tweeter. This has much better for left to right dispersion than the standard M-T-M design. The crossover has also been "voiced" for sitting on top or below a TV which adds a baffle when you put it there. If your planning on using the old BA's with this-not bad( Andy was responsible for "voicing" those, as well as this center).
By the way, if you don't mind buying used, there are probably a couple of VR12 centers scattered around at EXTREMLY good prices.Check some dealers.

Best Regards,
JD
