|   did I blow woofer or crossover | ???
Apr 21, 2001 5:37 PM | | I have an older set of Wharfedale bookshelves with two 4 1/2 inch woofers and 1 inch tweeter that are rated at 80 watts that i've been running with a 200 watt per channel amp as that's all I have. Yesterday I noticed at loud levels one woofer sounds blown,I don't think I've been clipping the amp and was wondering if this might be because the crossover isn't supposed to handle that kind of power,or maybe because low bass signal could have blown the small woofers (the box is sealed)any opinion on wat it takes to blow out a crossover i appreciated? |
