|   Reciever wattage vs Speaker wattage | RexFlex
Apr 23, 2001 11:32 AM | | I have a reciever, Yamaha HTR-5280, that produces 110 watts x 5 at .09% THD. The speakers I am looking at purchasing, JBL S312, handle up to 250 watts. I read on this site that it is better to have more clean wattage than the speaker can handle. I like my music and HT loud. Is my reciever to underpowered to handle this? If so what do I need to do??
