| Shielded speaker not required? | DueN Apr 23, 2001 2:05 PM | | Guys, do I need a shielded center speaker if my TV set is a RPTV? I don't have an RPTV but am considering getting one in a near future.
I'm thinking that unlike the direct-view TV, the RPTV is shooting photons at the screen. So, the small magnet structure of the speaker shouldn't bend the light, right? (Ok, theoretically it does but is neglegible when factoring all other masses around, especially that of the earth)
Please enlighten me. Thanks. |

I love my ACA too BTW, but that is no surprise to you. |
| Thanks. That confirms my belief. (nt) | DueN Apr 23, 2001 7:20 PM | | . |

I ordered one of the 4.0s as shielded but when they arrived I was so excited that I did not notice which one was the shielded one when I unpacked them. So I just picked one at random and put it on top of the TV and I have not noticed any problems. So either I made a lucky guess or it doesn't matter. |
