I have a pair of meadowlark kestrel speakers that I know are very transparent but for the life of me I can't get them to "disappear" in my house. They're pretty effecient but may be the want more than my dynastereo70 can put out.

Spend a lot of time on speaker placement. A slight repositioning of even one speaker can make a big difference. Try toeing in the speakers so they are aimed at your ears, see if it makes a difference vs. firing straight ahead. Experiment with proximity to the wall behind the speakers, also proximity to side walls can affect the sound. If all else fails, then see if you can audition an amp in your home with your speakers.
