Help - only option is a different brand Center Channel spkrJDaniel

How do I go about matching a Center Channel speaker with my mains if the company that made the mains doesn't offer a "matched" center channel speaker? I've read all about the importance of "timbre-matching". The mains sound great, so I want to keep them. Also, I'm on a limited budget, so buying new mains and matching center channel is not an option.

Do I try to find a speaker with similar sized drivers, crossovers, watts, ohms etc. My bookshelfs have a D'Appolito design. Should I look for a similarly designed center channel speaker?

Thanks.

JD
Thanks
