Action movie fans know where the title of this post come's from. For some strange reason I feel compelled to ask this question even though I may get my head handed to me for asking. Bottom line is I JUST GOTTA KNOW!!!! Okay, I've been on this list for about 6 months, I've posted, kept my nose clean, answered questions from my limited knowledge and reviewed products I own. I know I'm not an old timer but I've got to find out.

What's the story with Dynalab Speakers. I see them for sale on ebay with prices ranging from 300 to 1200 dollars. I read the review here on the site and gather from that absolutely nothing. It's like a urban legend Dynalab Speakers, white vans etc.... what's the real story. I'm sure some other neophytes would like to know as well. Were these ever legitimate speakers? Are they work anything except ballast in the hold of a tramp steamer? Enquing minds wanna know and please, no cryptic van posts, just the real story...

Clint Eastwood, it was actually the colored guy that said it to Clint referring to knowing whether Clint was out of bullets or not....

They ARE legitimate speakers, albiet not good ones. They are purposly sold out of vans (moving, disappearing targets) to avoid the backlash when the unsuspecting dupes realize what they are bought.

For about $200, I guess they might be barely decent compared to the physically large competition in that price range but most people beloeve thay are getting a bargin whan they are buying them, generally for more than $200/pair.

Personally, for $200, I would be looking at the physically smaller PSBs or Paradigms

But, I'm sure they have many satisfied customers, though. Remember, their target market is those who are not technically savvy, like most of us here. The general populace is generally impressed with big woofers and chrome plated "horn" tweeters.

And, IMHO, they are not even decent ballast. Thay are too bulky and don't weigh enough. Ya might as well use styrofoam for ballast.

Well, I was wondering if they were a legit brand that just fell on hard times, that's all. Thanks for the information. I wasn't thinking about buying any of them just wanted to know how the white van story got started. I guess it qualifies as the ulitmate insult for a product around here.

Thanks...
