Next were the single touring kayaks. I only tried one out. The Nekky Looksha IV. Kevlar 55lb 17' long 22" wide. I gave this boat a lot of time....singles handle so differently. It was nice and low in the water..making the paddeling position great for me. It moved smoothly and picked up speed well and with ease. It seemed very tipsy but at the same time was very stable...I tested this with out a skirt...I let a wake from a passing motor boat hit me full on the side..I was rocking like the baby in the cradle but never went over. A good thing too cus that water is DARN COLD! I raced Marmot while he was in a different single and won hands down..at least till I looked back to see if he was gaining on me and in doing so my paddle dipped in a pause and at the speed that I was going the reaction was not good...I just barely kept myself from going over! Moral to this story...just trust that you are winning and don't look back...bad idea! I enjoyed this boat.. it had a differnet feeling but a pleasant one.

Excellent choice going with the 1NT's! You are going to be amazed at their ability to disappear, and bring out every little nuance of the recording. I've owned them for over 5 months now, and every time I listen I just sit back and drift off with the music as these speakers just disappear......

Oh as far as the subs, I haven't heard any of them, but they all get great reviews. Of the ones you mention, I believe the REL is the most musical of the group, but that's just going by what I've heard. Incidentally I took the plunge and ordered a dual SVS 20-39CS package, and love it. They blend in quite nicely with the CDM's, and keep right up with them with music.

Good luck, and enjoy those CDM's.
