Any opinion on Norh 6.9 Video System ?TravisL

Hi, Does anyone own Norh 6.9 Prism Video system(1 pair Prism 6.9, 1 pair Prism 5.2 and single Prism 4.1)? How do you like it for HT and/or Music? Do you feel you need a separate sub? What are your associated equipments? Thanks.

I have the SM6.9 for music only and the bass is awesome. I don't think I will need a sub for music with the SM6.9.

The Prism will go lower, if I'm not wrong to 34hZ.

However for HT, you may still need a sub to get the really low base.

I have often said that the audio industry has sold us on the concept of needing a subwoofer so they can build loudspeakers that don't produce bass. To produce bass, you need good drivers and many companies today simply won't put good drivers in their boxes. Even many subwoofers don't produce very deep bass.

The Prism 6.9 goes down to 33 Hz -3dB. It will go down to 26 Hz -10dB.

I've had Prism 6.9's for a short time in a music only system. Spectacular. They play loud, low and clean. As far as needing a sub- for HT always; for music, maybe not depending on your taste and lust for deep bass. The important thing is when adding a sub to these, it needs to be a good one or it will just pollute its capable bass output with boom. Also, the 6.9 make full use of a high powered amp. With a low powered amp, consider the Prism 6.6 instead.

I doubt you will need a sub. For HT, you will. Still would a wonderful system either way.
Thank you (nt)TravisL
