Best HT 5.1 System for $2000-2500????Dan Perkins

Hey folks, first time posting. Curious what ya'll think would be good for a 13X21 room size, Onkyo 696 100 watt per channel AVR driving the speakers. 70% DVD, 30% music.

Had my eye on the DefTech 2006TL system, but unsure what more experienced audiophiles thought. Additional problem for me is that I live in a small metro area where there are no high end dealers selling the better brands. Therefore, I'll either have to do this over the phone, internet, or drive 3 hours to do an audition.

Thoughts?

But you do have a nice budget to work with. :)

IMO, the best would be:
ceramic nOrh 4.0 package - $850
SVS CS-Ultra - $1,100
Samson S1000 - $475 (use to power the CS-U)

or

marble 4.0s (LCR) - $1,075
ceramic 4.0s (surrounds) - $400
SVS 20-39PC - $789

of course you could do:
nOrh Prism 6.9 video package - $1,700
SVS 20-39PC - $789

And there are many other options out there too. Amongst them are ACI, Swan Diva, HSU, Ascend Acoustics, B&W, Paradigm, Axiom, Def Tech, NHT, Boston Acoustics, PSB, Energy, etc.
