adire or velodyne, still confused?michael g

Alright so I thought I was all ready to buy this Rava which i've never actually heard before because the word is that it's good for music and it's an okay sub. I was going to get that huge paradigm pw 2200 before, then switched to the rava, but now i'm thinking velodyne since no one really seems to be supporting the rava (no reviews) and everyone knows velodyne. I was going to spend that 400$ on the rava, but would like to know what you guys think about this. I'd like to stay around 400$. Has anyone heard both of these subs? I need it for music 70% and movies 30%. Small room, like less than 15 by 15. Fronts either paradigm monitor 9's or 11's.

For pete sake what are you thinking going for a velodyne ( pretty boomy for music ) Rava nice tight clean sound.
The rava will give you the rumble of a Velodyne CT-120 and the tightness of the paradigm pw-2200 but i still think the rava is better for music then the paradigm.
%100 go with the RAVA

Get the Rava, get it now! No, I haven't heard the Velo, but for 400, the Rava should be a lot more satisfying for music than any other 400 sub, and since you state you will be using it for 70% music, the Rava should be a no-brainer at that price point. My Rava also goes plenty deep for HT. One reason why there aren't any reviews (at least here at AR) is because it hasn't been added to the products list yet (I requested this a few months ago, hasn't happened yet). One last thing, if you don't like the Rava, you can always return it.

Paul/Tyler/Others,

Perhaps it's time to ask again that Rava be included in the review list. I think it may have been missed the first time.

Hey I have a CT-120. I am very happy with it. and i have a 2 channel setup so dont let anyone tell you that velodyne is boomy thats bull. I have mine on a slab of granite and it sounds so tight and fast it hits me right in the chest!

I'm going to put my Velo on a granite slab also, and I was wondering if you kept the little rubber feet on that come with the sub or not?
Thanks

well.. no I had some spikes made, but i am sure that you can use the ones they come with. You will see a big improvment in speed and it brings out how musical it can be trust me!!!

Agreed. Read the reviews of the CT-120 before blindly jumping on the Rava bandwagon.
