Sony Speakers?!Lafferty

Anybody listened to the Sony SAV-E815ED surround system? I'm trying to buy a relatively cheap set of speakers for my V333ES and am deciding between the Sony system or cheaper ones from Polk (because of the free 8" sub) or Boston. Any thoughts? Should I get something else entirely (in the $600-850 range)?

Just about anything is better than Sony Speakers - even - dare I say it - Bose.

Polk audio and Boston is fine for a little system but you should take a look at the Energy - Take 5 system.

If you are willing to spend the upper most part of your budget then I would look at getting B&W DM 302s($225.00) DM303s($300.00 - maybe less) front and rear for a total of $450.00 - $600.00. Then add the LCR3 center for around $300.00. You'll need $150.00 for inexpensive stands. This route will leave you without a sub...but the sound will be incomparably better. You can always add a sub easily...but upgrading speakers will cost you more money in the long run. You may also be surprised at how much more you'll enjoy listening to music. http://www.bwspeakers.com/products/gallery/range_gallery.cfm?range=419DBE04-EF4D-11D3-B01E0000E20E7DA6
