Help! Trying to buy Speaker Packagedaddy D
Sep 12, 2001 10:58 PM
I'm looking at three Speaker packages. can someone give me some advice on what to do?
The first set is from B&W. DM 601S (front), CC66S (center) and the LM1B(rear) with a MKV-75MKII(sub)

The 2nd set is From Klipsch. Rb-5(front), RC-3(center) and the RS-3(rear) with a knight shadow sub

The 3rd set is from Paradigm. Studio 40(front), Studio/CC(center)and the ADP(rear) with the Knight Shadow sub.

Considering the Denon AVR3802 Reciever, unless there is some other quality brand around $700 to $800

Those are all good. There are posters here who will support each of those, although I have to ask, what the heck is a knight shadow sub? What's your budget for speakers, or are you set on one of those three? Personally, I'd probably go with the Paradigm speakers of those you listed, but that's just me. Get what sounds the best to you, and audition all those in your home if you can. Speakers can sound much different when you get them in your listening room compared to how they sounded in the showroom.

Of the three speaker sets you mentioned, I strongly beleave the Paradigm set will be good for both music and home theater. I have an entry level package from Paradigm (System Two) and they sound fabulous for both movies and music listening. Many have said that BMW speakers are great for classical, jazz and pop musics. It all depends on your ears.
