Will Gallo Nucleus Micros work well with Denon 2802 or 3802?
This is my first home theater and i'm not familiar with
matching speakers and receivers. Please help!

Gallo satellite 100W ,8 Ohm
Gallo M1 Woofer 100W, 8 Ohm
Gallo Sub 150W active, 8 Ohm

Denon 2802: (90Wx6, 8 Ohm) (135Wx6, 6 Ohm)
Denon 3802: (110Wx7, 8 Ohm) (150Wx7,6 Ohm)

Thanks,
Kevin

If you like the Gallo speakers, any of the more common recievers ought to work well. I've only listened to Gallos in a shop so I can't comment on dound quality, but they don't seem to have any perculiarities that limit what you connect them to, although I understand them to pretty efficient so you can choose the the reciever on the basis of features rather than power.

I like 7.1 in 3802. But I was wondering if 110W will be too much
power for the 100W Gallo speakers and might damage them?

You can almost never get in trouble with too much power unless you deliberately try to destroy the speakers. Most have a fuse somewhere anyway.

The more common problem is too little power such that the amp is driven into distortion and the distorted signals damage the speakers. Having a bit of extra power available gives you some "headroom", meaning that the amp is less likely to produce a distorted signal.

The Gallos were specifically designed to work well with just about any surround reciever/amp combo, that's one of their marketing features. It is hard to have too much power, more damage is caused with 'underpowered' equipment that ends up clipping the waveform at peak levels. So don't every worry about overpowering something, but on the gallo website they recommend power ranges 15-100 wpc. Most mass market equipment only produces a fraction of the listed power since they usually give a 1 channel driven @ 1khz spec, which is not at all accurate or even considering the powersupplies limits. Better recievers and equipment in the mid-fi world generally state specifically "all channels driven, 20hz-20khz), then you have a reasonably accurate rating that you should be able to use as some sort of reference.

However, the recievers you listed are very decent and either should work excellent with these speakers.
