| Only Three ACI Fans in the World! | Thomas777 Nov 29, 2001 12:59 PM | | Headlines read "ACI fan admits he is one of only three in the whole world!" Chek it out below, Azuth, thanks! Brian/Mr. ACI wants me ta put $$$ where mouth is. I BET you that only the same three people will stick there necks out for this plastic sellin internet wanaba company. No bogus posting please! Oh, I know, it will be oldJD/Mr. ACI, Brian/Mr. ACI and Azuth/Mr. ACI. That's it!
Wise up folks, send your dollars somewhere else. |
| re: Only Three ACI Fans in the World! | paulbl Nov 29, 2001 1:10 PM | | I guess there must be at least 4 ACI fans, since I count myself among them.
Acually, until your inane post, I've never seen anything negative about ACI at all. |
| Why are you TROLLING this great company? | Marbles Nov 29, 2001 1:14 PM | | and why do you care where people decide to spend their money?
I have heard nothing but VERY positive things about this company and it's products. |
| I'm just trying to prove | Whocares Nov 29, 2001 1:29 PM | | That most people want real audio companies. Not these internet wannabe companies. Go to a stor for crying out loud where U can hear the stuff before you let them burn your credit card! Companies like ACI (sounds like Aacky) take the bread out of the hard working people in the stores. These new flakes pop up, sell a few speakers and are gone, leavin U holdin the bag. Just trying to protect the American public |
| I'm just trying to prove | paulbl Nov 29, 2001 1:46 PM | | Acually, ACI has been around for quite some time (like 20 years or more). I dispute your premise that 'most people want real audio companies'. Most people don't know that the internet alternative exists, they are unaware that they can usually get more 'bang for the buck' by going the internet route. As far as hearing the stuff 1st: most if not all internet cos. will let you try it out and return it if you aren't happy, which enables you to audition in your own home, which is the ideal location to audition new gear. Now, there are some etailers selling mass market gear at heavily discounted prices that may end up being shady, so your beef with those types of companies may be warranted. However companies like ACI, SVS, Adire Audio, Swan, Ascend acoustics, Ohm, Outlaw, etc. are legitimate internet only companies selling their own high quality gear at very competitive prices - what's the problem with that? Looks like good 'ol fashioned competition to me, isn't that the American way? If they want to do business direct to the consumer and avoid the heavy markups by distributers, etc. where is the problem? |
| Paul, your wrong... | Marbles Nov 29, 2001 3:40 PM | | ACI is coming out with their 25th anniversary catalog.
Good thing we have people on this board that want to protect people from these fly by night companies!!
Obviously the poster has no clue as to what he is writing about. |
| ACI, a great American Company! | Tinynot Nov 30, 2001 4:21 AM | | Listen up bonehead. I suspect you're on crack. Did your favorite companiies donate their finest product for a charity auction to support victims of 911? ACI donated a pair of Jaguars to the audiogon auction. I followed that auction, those Jaguars sold for nearly full price.
My Sapphire III LEs are a major improvement over my previous, more cosstly Sonus Faber Concertos. No contest. My Titan II LE produces the most natural bass I've ever heard. The company has always returned calls, emails, found out stuff for me. I guess that is why their celebrating 25 years and you'll be gone in a heartbeat. |
| re: Only Three ACI Fans in the World! | SEK Nov 29, 2001 3:57 PM | | I probably should not dignify such a post with a reply, but I will take this opportunity to, once again, praise my ACI Titan II LE subwoofer. You can get a subwoofer about as good, but, from my experience, that subwoofer would be a Rel, which sells for over twice as much in the U.S.A. The good folks at ACI don't deserve the disinformation that started this thread, but I guess you have to take it from where it comes... People such as Thomas777, whoever he is, do not realize how they undermine whatever credibility they have... |
| Hmmmm...... | Jetsons Nov 29, 2001 5:45 PM | | Not sure where you're coming from but I've spent some time with the ACI Sapphire IIIs and the first thing that caught my attention was their build quality. The cabinet finish is also very, very good. Pick them up and give them the knuckle test and the cabinets are rock solid.
Sound wise, I enjoyed the heck out of them. Not surprising to me that ACI has been around for 25 years and has very happy customers.
BTW, customer service is also excellent from all I have read.

| Well, 8 fans and counting... | Brian Bunge Nov 30, 2001 6:27 AM | | Well, from my count, that's at least 8 fans since 5 other people have spoken up in defense of ACI. You on the other hand are pretending to be 3 different people. I've seen "Tommy", "Thomas777", and "WhoCares". I guess next we'll have to call you Sybil! I have only EVER posted under a single name. That is my name which appears on my Birth Certificate - Brian Bunge. By disparaging ACI and Mike Dzurko directly you are truly showing that you know absolutely nothing about either the company or the man. I've exchanged emails with the man for over 2 years and have had the absolute pleasure of speaking to him personally on the phone. You'll not find a better man in this industry. Oh, and thanks for calling me Mr. ACI! That's a huge compliment to bestow on anyone. I'd love to be one of the owners or at least have some part in this great company. For now I'll continue to support them by giving them my business and turning others on to them. In a way, that does make me a partial owner! Brian Bunge |
| Bone up on your math there Bri! | Tommy7676 Nov 30, 2001 7:35 AM | | I think 5 + 1 = 6? Not 8? Hey, are you the guy who designs there speakers? I bet the crossover are off about that many % two!
But I am a man who will admit my errors. I said there were only 3 of yous and you've doubled that! Wow, 6 customers, that is really impressive. |
| I now love ACI with all my heart:) | GuessWho Nov 30, 2001 12:55 PM | | Just kidding. Tom, you are so eloquint that you just make me feel warm and humbled all over. Sorry my spellll cheker is brooken. Have fun playing with yourself or your ACIs |
| Bone up on your math there Bri! | Brian Bunge Nov 30, 2001 1:38 PM | | OK, you mention me, newjd, and Azuth. That's 3 ok? Then I mentioned the other 5 people that posted in this thread before my post. That makes 8. No, Mike Dzurko designs these speakers. Mike Dzurko lives in Wisconsin. If you check my email address: bbunge@bellsouth.net, then you'll see that I could in no way be in Wisconsin. In case you are geographically challenged, BellSouth territory is the Southeastern United States consisting of nine states. In order to have BellSouth.net internet service you have to live within the BellSouth territory. In my case that's the Metro Atlanta area. Atlanta just happens to be in Georgia. Brian Bunge P.S. I've sent a link to this thread to Mike himself. If he chooses to comment that's up to him. |
| re: Only Three ACI Fans in the World! | Bryan Nov 30, 2001 7:38 AM | | Too bad you are being such an obvious troll. "Internet wanaba company"? ACI is going on 25 years. nOrh is in their third year. Axiom Audio has been around for 21, close to 22, years. Ascend Acoustics for over a year. SVS over two years. HSU has been around for well over five years. Outlaw is going on two years. Odyssey over 12 years. So in all of that trolling I must ask you one question. What is your point? |
| Proof that some people shouldnt be born | jsujo Nov 30, 2001 6:55 PM | | Its obviously an attempt to waste people's time. Just in case the guy is serious, I think its proof that some people shouldnt be allowed to own computers.
The bonehead factor of that post is off the scale and without any factual content, So i think we should leave posts like that unchallenged and unresponded. let them die quietly.
Ignorance is a blessing for some folks!!\
