| need advice on bookshelf speakers | musictomyears247 Dec 1, 2001 6:32 AM | | please help..I need advice on buying bookshelf speakers to go with
my new Marantz SR5000. At this point it will be the only speakers I
am using in a medium sized room. Any advice appreciated. I have looked at the Klipsch SB2's so far. This will be for music, not theater.
thank you. |
| Nice receiver.... | Debbi Dec 1, 2001 2:31 PM | | I have the Klipsch RB5 bookshelves. They also make a new RB3 which is the same size as the SB2s. You can get the R series on line for 529 and 420 respectively at namebranz.com and they will match at 6ave.com.I believe both are authorized dealers.Just making the point as you may be able to get the upgraded series for about the same as the SB series locally. The SB series available on same sites.I have friends with the SB3 and truthfully, not a whole lot of differece between those and mine. One caution...Klipsch are very effiecient and do not match up well with less efficient center speakers from other companies so I would get a center now if you are going to use for HT. I really like mine. Both series will play as loud as you can stand it without pushing the amp and are very well rated here and other places in their pricepoint. |

Good Luck |
