I have a sony str-de875 of course with 5.1 connections, so i was wondering is can the cheap Toshiba's/Sony's/Rca's take full advantage of that. I can get a new Toshiba 1700 for $99 at an outlet store, but i don't think it has 5.1 outputs. But it doesn't give a lot of info on the box. I think 5.1 decoding means that it has 5.1 outputs, but i don't know for sure. Also what is the cheapest good player w/out pro.scan or dvd-audio that features this? And is "5.1 decoding" the only thing to let you know it has that, or is their something else? |
