| re: paradigm speakers | Mattheww Jan 20, 2002 11:03 AM | | Just call an authorized Paradigm dealer in the US and the price they tell you will be the suggested retail. Since paradigms in the States are price fixed I guess instead of calling it Suggested Retail they should call it Mandatory Retail....Canadian Dealers can sell them as cheap as they want, so the Retail Price is just a suggestion up there. |
| re: paradigm speakers | Brian Ritchie Jan 20, 2002 5:14 PM | | I just bought a whole Paradigm setup for under a little $4000 dollars.
Suggested retail price was over $5000. Studio 100's, 40's, a CC center and a Servo15 Sub. All high end audio dealers will bargain with you, especially if they know you have been shopping around. Call before you go to them and give them a line of BS about how much you have been shopping and that you are just trying to nail down the best price.
I had to drive a considerable distance to get mine since there are no high end stores near me. All we have here is Tweeter and Circuit City (nough said). So I told the salesmen that answered the phone that I need to know what I am getting into price wise before I jump in my truck and come get some speakers. I will drive an extra 50 miles to save 20bucks I told them. I got the best deal this way.
You should easily be able to get 10-15% off of the MSRP if you haggle. |
| re: paradigm speakers | nohjy Jan 20, 2002 10:01 PM | | I got the following Paradigm setup for right around 27% off Canadian MSRP.
Studio 60's
Studio 20's (2 pairs)
Studio CC
PW-2200
It took alot of haggling, but I saved over $1,200 US.
Good Luck! |
