Speaker Rebuild or just new speakers.beeman

I have a pair of early 90's Sonys bookshelf (100W Max) with an 8" woofer and 1" Tweeter. The response is lacking with my new reciever (100W RMS) during DVDs and I was thinking of replacing the woofer and possibly the tweeter and crossover. I was looking at the parts-express website and saw many choices. I was wondering if anyone can give me any recommendations on which woofer/tweeter to choose or should I just invest in a new set of speakers. Also, does anyone have any experience with Axon woofers? Thanks.
No offense, but...Dick Hertz

I wouldn't waste my time rebuilding those speakers. Since all you'd be keeping is the enclosure and since it's a very good possibility and woofer you choose would not be suitable for the enclosure, why not buy new or go the DIY route?

Is to invest in a new set of speakers. If you will be going that route, what is your budget?
