Sep 13, 2001 9:16 PM | | I have just sold my old speaker system and have saved enough to get a decent system.I have come up with $2500.00 reserved just for my new system.80% home theater and 20% music.I have a new Denon receiver,hi-fi VCR,DVD and satellite. But now I have no speakers! I have not had time to do much homework on speakers,So Im going back to audio review because it has ALWAYS done me right!!! ANY SUGGESTIONS |

Sep 14, 2001 4:05 AM | | for speakers look at : Definitive Technology (bipolar, excellent for ht, and quite musical), B&W, Paradigm, PSB.
These are just a few, there are many, many other brands out there. With that budget, you will be able to put together something very nice that will do both ht and audio very well.

Personally I have the nOrh 4.0 package and the SVS 20-39CS w/Samson S700 amp. That is a wonderful combination for both!

Sep 14, 2001 10:17 PM | | Recommendations, and both are worthy additions to your shopping list. NHT Super Two towers are currently available for $499 pr from Crutchfield and OneCall and the Super Ones are at $200 pr. Both are sonically comparable to speakers costing 2-3 times as much.

Sep 15, 2001 12:22 AM | | Diva Swans have been getting some great interest over at AVS Forum. (one of their longest threads ever!) They say there as good as B&W Nauilus at much less cost. You truly should check them out. The 6.1's might be the nirvana of musical value ever.
