| External Crossover Control = Poorer sound quality ?? | JoseMaria Sep 15, 2001 4:48 AM | | Hi: I have two Paradigm Studio 20 (v2) with a Paradigm PDR 10 sub + Marantz SR5000. This configuration doesnt let me to cut low frequencies to the two main/fronts Studio 20s. (wrigh?) SoIm looking for an external crossover. Talking with people that seem to know about all this...they are telling me that adding an external crossover will somehow deteriorate the sound quality. (Another circuit you are putting in between, they say) Is it true??
(I was thinking on a Pradigm X30 Control Crossover)
Thanks for help and comments on the matter. Jose. |

I am not sure how good the X30 is so can't comment on it. You can also look into Bryston which is a very high quality electronics cross-over.
