B&O Beomaster 4000: Worth fixing?davidsny

Is it worth fixing a beomaster 4000. it would cost about $400.
Found it at a yard sale!!

If your goal is high quality sound I would say - no unless you can limit the cost of repair to $100. Otherwise, you can spend the the same amount of money on 2-channel sound more effectively at Best Buy or Cambridge Soundworks.

If you want a piece of good-looking equipment - yes.

Hence the B&O "problem". I think they look fabulous but the sound quality is as best "OK". I really wish they would get their act together sonicly because I think they are some of the best looking stuff around.
