Can I use 10g electrical wire as substitute for speaker wire?

Hi - The simplest answer is yes. If it's less than a 75 foot run, you can use #12, less than 50 feet, you can use #14. I wouldn't go any less than #14, even if it's only a few feet. If it's over 75 feet, then the #10 is recommened, but probably tougher to work with. I recommend stranded although there are differing opinions on that too vs. solid.

Of course you can. It's not audiophile approved, but it won't hurt anything. Why do you need something that heavy?

Substitute? No, wire IS what youn use for speaker wire. 10 gauge may be a little big, but it will work jst fine.
