Jan 17, 2002 8:32 PM | | No other suggestions. But, I will confirm that PSB makes great speakers, especially at their price. I own a pair of PSB Image 5Ts, a 9C, and a pair of 2Bs. I am about to add a SubSonic 6. Although they took a couple of weeks to break in, the sound is amazing. So, although you should think about others, you definitely won't be sorry if you go with PSB. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask. |

Second,if you have a few minutes,go to Magnepan's web site. Their home page will direct you to an offer of a pair of their speakers for $550.
Magnepan speakers are (what's the word?)--eccentic. Some people love em;some people hate'em. For that reason,.I would not order them without hearing them first. If a friend or local store has some to listen to, give them a try if you're there anyway.

In the current issue of TAS magazine has a test of the PSB 4 and its not high-end and the Snell bookshelf speakers tested with it IS rated high-end. You would be better off with used Snell speakers. They sell cheap because people like you and your friends dont know about them. jmo
