help with speaker pickgmotsis

I want to purchase the best sounding book shelf speaker and stand to go with a sub and a denon 5700 receiver. My room is 19 ft by 11 ft with a 7 ft ceiling. I have looked at the sonus faber line and like the quality.
I will probably buy used and $2000.00 is probably my limit.

Thank you
George

There are endless choices at your price point. I can only suggest one of my favorites which is the Legacy Audio Studio. Lush midrange, sparkling highs and capable of going loud. Beautifully finished, sturdy as a brick.
Lots of choices....Mattheww

In this list the prices range from $1,000 new to ones that can be found for around $2,000 used. All are good speakers, It's just up to you to decide which ones you like the looks of and also like the sound of...

Merlin TSM
JM Lab Electra 905
JM Reynaud Trente or one of their other speakers
Joseph Audio RM7si
Audio Physic Step or maybe the Yara or Spark 3(5-6"wide floorstander)
Aerial Model 5 (may be too tough of a load for your receiver?)
ProAc 1sc
Thiel PCS
Revel M20
Silverline SR17 or SR15
Coincident Speaker Tech. Truimph Signiture
Vienna Acoustics Haydn
Meadowlark Vireo
and of course Sonus Faber Concerto's

I'm sure there's more, but this list will give you an idea what's out there....

Good Luck and Happy Listening!
