| Only in your opinion.. | Brett A. DiMichele Jan 20, 2002 11:08 AM | | Every person has thier own unique opinion on what sounds better to them.
It would be HARD if not IMPOSSIBLE for you to show ''proof'' that
Revel is actualy ''better'' than Snell.
So why would you even bother to post this? Do you think by some chance
you are going to change a Snell lover's opinion? If this is your goal
then I suggest you should develop a new game plan.
FWIW I own neither and am not Biased one way or the other. |
| Revel's speaker designer, Kevin Voeck, was Snell designer too. | Snell man Jan 20, 2002 2:08 PM | | Thats why I keep telling u guys to buy a used pair of Snell speakers. |
| re: Snell is very good, but Revel is better.............. | Bob Marker Jan 21, 2002 6:00 AM | | Might want to check out issue 26 of "The Audio Critic" as it includes a review of the top of the line Revel Salon and compares the Revel with the Snell Type A (reviewed in an earlier issue) , which was Snell's top of the line when Voecks was still with the company. In this review, the Snell is ranked ahead of the Revel. The review also includes a comparison of these speakers with the Waveform Mach 17 which comes out ahead of both of them. |
| re: Snell is very good, but Revel is better.............. | Snell man Jan 21, 2002 8:40 AM | | All three are rated Class A in Stereophile. Waveform is out of busness. A pair of Snell Type A's with two subs and outboard crossovers failed to sell on ebay for 6k. Stereophile compared the Salon and Snell type A to the Snell XA90 and said the female vocals were a tossup between the speakerS. Then they rated the XA90 Class B. Go figure. |
