| Can you use a sub satelite with a reciever with no sub-out?" | Moegames Apr 2, 2002 1:21 AM | | Im wondering if you can use a receiver that does not have a sub out with a powered/amplified sub satelite speaker? Im just wondering if there is a way to get the Sub Satellite to work with a Receiver that does not have a sub-out connetion.
I have a 12inch Infinity powered sub satllite that was used for my home theater but i updated my equipment in my living room and now im planning on using a older model JVC Surround Sound Reciever for a videogame room with this extra Sub speaker i have left over. Is there a way to hook up a sub satellite speaker to a reciever that has no sub-out connection? |

You run the speaker connections from the receiver to the high level inputs on the sub, then connect the satellites to the speaker outputs on the sub.
If you don't have speaker level inputs on the sub, you can pick up a speaker level to line level converter at radio shack for about $20. Just hook it to the "B" speakers and then to the sub. Then hook the sats up normally. |
