| German PhysiKs | wheemy Apr 2, 2002 6:44 PM | | Someone tell me about this company please. I am a hi-fi guy, and have heard all the big ones like B&W, JMLAb, M. Logan etc. but nobody carries German Physiks and they have really been intriguing me recently. they look incredible and are very expensive. I swear to God I had a dream about them last night in which they were the most incredible things to ever reproduce music. is this 6th sense correct? are they really that good? what do you compare them to?
thanks----i'm not crazy, i really did have a dream abou them, lol |
| You mean Audio Physic | Chuckd55 Apr 2, 2002 8:44 PM | | Audiophile all the way. No loss of detail. Extremely high quality drivers. Like wearing headphones - the drivers put the sound right into your head. Require pinpoint seating placement to enter "soundstage city". Good bass extension but not as good as, say NHT. Less dyanmic than B&W / Paradigm. The opposite of Meadowlark speakers. Somewhat cold and clinical in that respect similar to DynAudio. |

| No German Physicks (german-physiks.com) | wheemy Apr 2, 2002 9:38 PM | | I have heard good things about audio physiks too, close name, but they are radically different. both serious hifi though. |
| German Physicks and their design... | Worf101 Apr 3, 2002 8:14 AM | | Their speakers intrigue me too but primarily because they seem similar in design to the original Ohm Walsh F which first featured a down firing metal cone configuration. Good speakers the G.P.'s but way, way out of my price range. Da Worfster |
| So why not just check out Ohm ... | sam9 Apr 3, 2002 9:18 AM | | ... they are still around. They do factory direct sales with a 90 day "no questions" return policy. |
| So why not just check out Ohm ... | Worf101 Apr 4, 2002 7:35 AM | | No need to, for me at least, I own two pair. Da Worfster |
| So I take it nobody has heard audio physiks speakers then? | wheemy Apr 4, 2002 2:55 PM | | |
