JBL S310 II and S-Centerjw3214

I was wondering what people thought of these speakers. I just purchased these and i think they sound really good on music. I am a little dissapointed with S-center speaker though. It sounds a little muffled when people onscreen are having a conversation. It sounds great when there are explosions and glass breaking etc. Is there something I can do? As soon as I turn it loud enough to where the conversation sounds good, the main speakers are way too loud. Please help, did I waste my money? I bought these based on all the excellent reviews on audioreview.com.

Thanks

Try calibrating your system with a radio shack SPL meter using the test tones on your receiver. Set the receiver to put out 80dB using your SPL meter so that all channels put out equal amounts of sound. No, you did not waste your money! You just need to set everything up correctly. Also, some DVD's do not have the same quality in sound as others, which might relate to the muffled sound with the centre channel. Also, room acoustics... this could have to with the muffled sound. Does this make any sense? Got anymore questions? I hope I helped.
