Jul 30, 2002 6:28 PM | | I purchased a pair of 2+2s back in May and desire to get more power for these power mongers. I presently use and Adcom GFA 555 II, with a Meridian 541 Sound Controller. The system sounds fantastic,(and loud) but I would like to avoid having to push the amp to get the great volumes. I've considered getting another 555 II but I don't quite understand all the technical jargon regarding low impedance loads and all that. Can someone advise me on an appropriate amp in the 1000 dollar range that will make these buggers really perform? Or should I just be happy where I am?
