The B&W Nautilus Series and CDM Series speakers are excellent speakers indeed. However, the worst thing you can do in this price level is buy based on what another person thinks sounds good.

IMO, you should also consider the following brands if that's your price range:

Dynaudio
PSB
NHT
Dunlavy
Reference MM
Martin Logan
Energy
Paradigm
Infinity

and others....

The point? Check out various other vendors that offer similar and very different sounding/looking speakers. There are LOTS (and I mean LOTS) of options out there at this price range. Maybe in the end, you'll end up with the B&Ws, but you have to look at as much as you can for yourself before taking the plunge.

B&W has lots of lines. Some are very inexpensive - some home theater set-ups from B&W could cost you over $120,000.00US(only speakes).

BTW: Yes they are that good.

In your price range I would recommend the CDM 1NT for the front and the rear. $2400.00US.
The CDM CNT Center channel Which I'm not 100% sure of the price. ~$750.00.

So we're at ~$3200.00

If you buy all this at the same time then get them to discount 10-20% of the price...Should be no more than $2900.00US.

Then You can find yourself a sub. The ASW CDM is quite good(A 1000 watt built in amp - it's vastly superior to prior B&W Subs)...but many Sub Gurus may be able to find something just as good maybe better for less money. Ask Woochifer as he seems to have tried a great deal of them.

Budget $500.00-$600 for the Sub. In your price range. And $200.00 for two sets of speaker stands. Atacama makes a good stand that is sand fillable for under a $100.00 a pair.

Have heard nothing in the price range that is better for home theater and also does muscic impecably well. So me do one or the other reasonably well. http://www.bwspeakers.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/products.ranges/label/Range%20CDM%20NT%20Series
Or wait fo this stand to go on sale. http://www.audioadvisor.com/store/productdetail.asp?sku=SOUZ522&product_name=Z522%20Speaker%20Stands%20-%2023%20Inches%20-%20Slate%20Black%20-%20Pair

B&W are excellent speakers. Another option to consider:

VMPS 626R mains - $1,650
VMPS LRC center - $950
Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 - $350
HSU VTF-2 - $450

Now, it is best for all five to match but with the center and mains taking up much of the budget it is not possible. However, that is an excellent system within your price range. By building the cabinets or doing some assembly you should be able to save at least a couple hundred more and then get the VMPS QSO 808 or Dipole surrounds.

In addition to your local shops do not forget about companies such as VMPS, Axiom, nOrh, ACI, Magnepan, HSU, SVS, Adire Audio, etc.

Vienna Acoustics is also another fantastic company to choose from in that range...The Bach Towers are 1500 a set and are absolutely beautiful to listen to. Center and rears would put you right in your range...
