For those of you without the bass management in your receiver pre-amp. Do you use an external crossover or simply go with the sub out on receiver/pre-amp?
Not sureMash

what you are asking. The Velodyne & Paradygm come with internal crossovers. The standard Velodyne crossover is 85 Hz but I had my Velodyne set up with a 55 Hz crossover (they also gave me the 85 Hz crossover rather than throw it away.) You can use speaker level or preamp level inputs with these subs.

He's probably referring to the X-series external bass management units that come with the Servo 15. It allows you to go with either the speaker level or line level high pass crossover, and have the control unit closer to the preamp/receiver.
Thats right..Express

Was wondering what others manage their bass with. I only have crossover of 80hz if speakers set to small on my receiver. Should I use the X-30? I don't really like the idea of wiring through another filter like that. Will I be losing sound quality? Do most people use sub out direct to the sub and not even use the X-30?
Thx.
