If you're talking about a regular woofer in a 2 or 3 way speaker, make sure it can go an octave higher than what the crossover is set at. If you are talking about subwoofers built into the cabinet, make sure it works with that enclosure. But if the enclosure is ported, forget about it. The port would be tuned to that specific driver that was already in there. So if it is a sealed box, make sure the driver is reccomended in that volume, make sure it's as sensitive as you need, and goes very low. You are gonna have to give me more info about the sub and the speaker it was in for a better response. |
