I have been presented with an excellent opportunity to buy some B&W Nautilus 803s. However they come unboxed, without spikes, and with a small dent in one of the tweeters dust cover (apparently not the metal mesh cover) - the dealer says that it has no impact on the sound. Apart from that they are apparently mint.

I'm not too worried about the lack of a box or spikes as I assume they can be had from B&W for a small (hopefully) fee. I am a little more concerned about the tweeter, anyone have any advice on this?

Best regards,
Francis

If the tweet is metal, you might have a problem. If the tweet is fabric, ribbon or plastic you may be able to pull it out with tape, a vacum cleaner or even the suction of your mouth. All seem to work. If not completely smooth, ribbon, plastic and fabric tweets will still operate fine, metal's another story altogether...

Hope this helps.
