| Tube Amps?? | beezer Feb 20, 2001 1:35 PM | | I'm considering replacing my B&K ST-1400 with an entry level tube amp. I've seen ads for Cary, Jolida and Conrad Johnson amps for under $1000 (my price range), but don't really know where to start. I have Chapman speakers (3-way, 4 ohm), a PS Audio passive preamp, and an MSB Link DAC III right now, and listen to lighter rock, country, and jazz with some heavier R&B grooves thrown in from time to time.
Any recommendations?? |

Both have different charateristics and you have to get what you like. Also, don't forget about the used/demo route(I'll put some links below) have you thought about DIY? have fun http://audiogon.com/ http://www.jeffssoundvalues.com/ http://www.bottlehead.com/et/et.html http://www.audioreview.com/market/amplifiers.html |

You might try one of their (Jolida) integrated units. |
