I've seen ads for Cary, Jolida and Conrad Johnson amps for under $1000 (my price range), but don't really know where to start. I have Chapman speakers (3-way, 4 ohm), a PS Audio passive preamp, and an MSB Link DAC III right now, and listen to lighter rock, country, and jazz with some heavier R&B grooves thrown in from time to time.
Any recommendations?? |

My advice would be to take your time and find out what you like. Go listen to some PP design amps and SET design too. Both have different charateristics and you have to get what you like. Also, don't forget about the used/demo route(I'll put some links below) have you thought about DIY?
