Jul 20, 2001 1:09 PM | | I recommend you find a willing dealer and audition some receivers and separates on the same speakers. Yes, there are some great receivers out there, and some might approach the quality of separates (Rotel, Marantz high end, MacIntosh receivers, B&K, etc.), but very often separates will give you better sound. As you increase in price, the law of diminishing returns kicks in, but in the $1000 - $3000 range, there are some very real sonic differences in various receivers and separates. Demo, demo, demo!!! |
