new Thule amps: virtual Class A! great bargain? OK with B&W?Bart Joly

Hi,

I am planning to upgrade my main speakers (been searching for almost a year now). I think I'm going to buy B&W nautilus 804s. My next problem is finding a good amp for them. I have a Denon 3300 (use it for home theatre), I was thinking about buying a power amp, possibly a 5 channel amp, and using my Denon as pre-amp. My first choice was something from Rotel (5 channel poweramps RMB1075 or RMB1095 which costs almost the same as the IA-350B). I recently entered a shop and they told me about the new Thule that they had auditioned. They said it was incredible. They are using a Classe amp now to power their B&W speakers. I haven't found a lot of information about those new amps from Thule. But the new IA-350B would serve my needs perfectly: 2 channel for HIFI (I can connect a cd-player directly to it) and 5 channel for home theatre (using my Denon as pre-amp).

The shop has given me some documents on the IA-350B/IA-250B/PA-250B. Thule claims those anps are 'Virtual Class A' using output transistors that are always active, instead of tranistors that are swiched on and off on AB-class amps (it's more complicated than that)
It's a pitty that that information is not present on the Thule website (http://www.thule-audio.com/space.htm). The IA-350B isn't even mentioned, it's only a few months old.

Has anyone more info, or experience with those new amps from Thule?

Thanks a lot and Merry Xmas,
Bart Joly
