Dec 27, 2001 11:11 PM | | Looking for a Marantz receiver but dont know what wattage to go with. I've got some newer sony speakers that are rated at 200 watts each. I like my music moderately loud. I would also like to spend no more than $200 on the receiver.

I have two Marantz receivers from the eighties made after the time frame covered this database. I have an SR5100 (100wpc) and SR9? probably about 125 wpc. Both are excellent. I didn't pay much for them either, $75 and $125 respectively. Two of the ultimate receivers of all time are the 2500 and 2600. They don't make 'em like that any more. |
