Opinions of Marantz SR-3000...atomix

I have an opportunity to buy this receiver locally, actually through Accessories for Less, for $130 or so reburbished. I was planning on using it mainly for music, driving a pair of bookshelf speakers...However, I am a little worried about the power rating, 40 watts to the front 3 channels....Would this be sufficient to drive a speaker like the B&W DM303 or the Axiom M3's? Anyone have experience with this receiver or the SR-4000? How's the power, and is it high enough quality for music? Or should I be looking at something else like a low-dollar (~$200) Onkyo...?
Anyone, PLZ, anyone used it?atomix

If your looking for just a stereo setup look at the Marantz SR4120 stereo receiver. 60 watts a channel works great on my NHT SB3 Bookshelfs. Sounds good to. If I had to choose the SR3000 or the SR4000 I would get the SR4000 it has 70Watts in the front 3 channels. But look inot the SR4120.

Enjoy
