hi,

my old kenwood ka3700 produces some strange noise whenever
i try to adjust volumn while playing music. could anyone tell me how i could fix this problem? thanks!

It might help if you would try to describe the sound. But it is likely that the control is simply dirty. If you buy some "tuner cleaner" from your favorite electronics supply store (you can also go to Radio Shack), you can spray it out and move the volume control to work it in (with the power off, so you can turn up the volume control all the way; just make sure you turn down the volume before you turn the power back on).

Depending on how dirty it is, and how good you are at getting the spray inside the actual control, it may take a few squirts and a turning the knob back and forth several times before the problem is corrected.
