New AV Receiverpbacker
Aug 23, 2002 3:42 AM
I am running some Pinnacle Classic Gold Reference Speakers as my main speakers. They have two 6 1/2 inch woofers and a 1" tweeter, with a 92db sensitivity.
I am looking for a new receiver for movies and music, probably about 60% music - 40% movies. The receiver needs to be a warm sounding one as the speakers are bright. I also plan on running the speakers full range at all times because when they are cut off, they lose some of their fullness. (I do have a sub.)
I am looking at the following, and would appreciate any advice.
1.Marantz SR 5200 2. Harman Kardon AVR 225 3.NAD T751
4. Onkyo SR600 5. Denon 1802. Those are all in the price range I want to spend.
I've already tried the Outlaw 1050. Although the amps are nice and clean, the sound was too bright with the speakers.
Thanks.
