NAD 2100 problemsSkye
Aug 23, 2002 1:09 PM
Hello, I have had a NAD 2100 amp for a few years, and it just started having this problem. When I turn it on, the L or R channel (usually the R) will be off. I have to turn the volume on my NAD 1700 pre-amp way up, and then "pop!" the channel comes on. Then I can turn the volume down and everything works perfectly. I usually have the volume set on half or full on the 2100, doesn't make any difference to the problem though. I also tried turning off the "soft clipping" switch on the back.

I had my pre-amp connected to a different amp for a couple of years and didn't have this problem so I'm pretty sure its the 2100

Does anyone know what might be causing this???

Thanks, Skye
