I knew that the Brystons take some time to loosen up, and what I was hearing straight out of the box should not discourage me. The wait was worth it. If you by one used you will not have to go through this,AND it comes with a twenty year transferable warranty!
I was using a older NAD preamp and I felt that the Bryston was being robbed of good upstream data and a new preamp was the answer. I asked so many questions on so many posts concerning a replacement preamp, and the majority pushed me to go with a tubed preamp. I read great reviews about AES (Audio Electronic Supply)AE-3. AES is a company owned by Dennis J Had who also ownes Cary, and you can buy a factory built version for $599. I bought a AE-3 and wow my system sounds fantastic, and to think that tube rolling is going to take it to the next level.
The speakers in my system are the Klipsch KLF30's; I was auditioning both the KLF30'S and the Studio 100's in the same room, but the klipsch had a much better presentation.
