Will you approve this combination ?Tapesh

Based on responses for my prev. qs. This is what I have decided

To start with I will use my Denon AVR-3300 as pre-amp/pro.

Amplifier Either B&K 200.7 or Marnatz MM-9000.

Upgrade from Polk Audio RM7500 To Lsi series LSi9 main, LSiC LSi Fx for surround and SUB 650 .

Do you think this will work or will be good enough to protect current investment and not spending too much to start with.

I know Polks are not very popular but for some reason I like them and LSi series is supposed to be even better.

Please advise.

Thanks

Both B&K and Marantz make good, durable amps and the LSi's aren't known as difficult speakers to drive so you shouldn't have any problems. Listen to both in your system and see which one sounds better to you.

"I know Polks are not very popular"

According to who? People who are "audiophiles?" And really, who gives a sh*t? It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks, it's your money. You could have Wilson's or Audiovox and as long as either sounds good to you, that's all that matters. If you're in this to stroke your ego, you're going to jump on the endless train to upgradeville and will never be happy. Ever.

Good luck and buy what moves you.

Well, listen to the LSi first and compare side-by side with your current speaker. If you like it then buy it before proceeding with a new amp. Who knows you'll be completely satisfied with it and you don't need to buy additional amp.
Good luck.

i owned the Polk RT series (RT2000p) and they made one dang nice HT setup. Fronts were lacking in 2 channel, but when I switched to HT they came alive. Very good quality build. Haven't heard the Lsi series, but read good reviews. I seem to remember them being a 4ohm load and difficult for some receivers (Denon comes to mind) to drive. I beleive Polk still sells the RTi line (Reference Theater) for HT so i assume the Lsi is geared toward a more musical speaker. With either amp, you will have no problem.
