Portable CD as temp Preamp?MarkMad
Oct 9, 2003 11:13 AM
This might be a silly question. I have a 125W parasound amp, and am currently using my receiver's pre-outs. I'm giving away my receiver to a friend who's moving away this week, and my new receiver is not coming in until next week. Can temporarily hook the 'Line Out' or 'Headphone' jack on a cheap portable cd player into the 'line in' on my amp so i can have some tunes in the meantime? Might this damage my amp or speakers?

Thanks in advance!!!!

If you use the "Line Out" jack..NOT The Headphone jack, I don't say that there'd be a problem. I don't have much experience in this area but I can't see why it would damage anything..You probably have your new gear by now anyway. Just droppin in a reply!
