I have about a 200-250 foot run out to my pool area and I would like to put a volume switch out in the pool area.

Can you give me some tips and necessities to protect me from damaging my equipment and recommendations on products?

Yours truly,

Victor Doyle

That is a very long run. I am not sure even 12 ga would be sufficient. Landscape low voltag wire does come in 8ga though which may work.

do a sound distribution system with 70v. line and transformers.
You can put as many speakers around your property as you please...well not really but certainly a lot...Stan

mtrycraft can explain how to do this...I don't want to make any recommendations as to what type of wire for obvious reasons...however...this type of system will not be as effected by cable choice as my personal home stereo.

A good place to start looking is JBL's professional line of speakers and amplifiers...for instance the Control 25AV monitors. I am not recommending these but they are of the design that will do the job...this might be a job for a professional sound contractor...

I have been bugged by this since i last repied so can you humour me by answering a few questions.

Do you have shelter and ac power by the pool?

What type of amp/preamp are you using in your house?

Do you intend to bury the cables underground? or by what method would you make the cable run.

Do you want the ability to play different music at the pool and in the house at the same time.

Sometimes one rushes to respond without enough info...
Regards...Stan
