Will I be able to tell any real difference if I use those $80 monster cables on my new home theater system? I'm not an enthusiest, so will they really make a big enough difference to justify the price.
Thanks,
Andy

Monster cables are cables that look pretty. You are paying for the looks, they are good cables, but way over priced. If you want decent cables just get some radio shack gold series or AR. If you want very good cables at reasonable prices, check out www.KustomKables.com

You won;t be able to hear it on your system or, I doubt on anyones system, for that matter. All this is a hype to the cable markets, all of them. Humans are frail when it comes to gullibility; the marketeers know this well.

Monster Cables are great. You will hear a difference garanteed with these. I have gotten a pair of Z2 recently, and I was so stunt about the difference that I will make a dB measurement when I 'll have a chance. Note that Monster makes good cables (Z or M series), but they also make cables that are not worth it (all the others.).

>>>You will hear a difference garanteed with these.<<<

Not a guarantee at all. What will you do if this cannot be proven, change your mind and renounce it?

>>>>> I have gotten a pair of Z2 recently, and I was so stunt about the difference<<<<

I bet you didn't conduct a DBT listening, did you? A sighted comparison has no meaning for audibnle differences; it is fatally flawed and unreliable.

Be sure to use precision instruments and tell all about your protocol in detail.

Thanks for admitting you have nothing to offer. What a relief. But many already know this without your confession. Thanks.
