I'm looking for advice on choosing a decent, sub $80 1m S-video to S-video cable to link my UK-spec Panasonic S-VHS VCR to my processor. I'm currently using Linn cable with three phonos on one end, and a scart on the other. For my audio run, I've chosen Nordost Blue Heaven (got a 2nd-hand 1m run.)

Thanks in advance.

Does the concept of a difference between a passive device such as a cable and an active device such as a receiver completely elude you, or do you just feel like embarassing yourself?

Maybe both choices apply?

*You realize you are violating the posting policy as set forth by the administrators of this site? Remember....it's ok to disagree, but flames and intentional insults are not allowed. Now that there is no question that you know this, you might want to consider posting accordingly in the future.*

The site's rules are only pointed out selectively, I see. Why am I not surprised?

His post was inflamatory, derogatory and without redeeming value, in a word, idiotic. Read the post to which I responded and see if you feel it violates "flames and intentional insults are not allowed". Sometimes you just have to call them as you see them.

My goodness, I'm sure learning a lot today.

Help me out here, GCM, is what you're saying, "It's ok to disagree but not ok to have personal attacks, that is, of course, unless you just have to call them as you see them"?

Whew, it's tough for a new guy, such as myself, to get the hang of all these ever changing rules. My guess is that the next change will be..."It's ok to disagree but not ok to have personal attacks, unless you've just been questioned as to why you aren't following the rules."

What I'm saying as a long time regular here is that I personally am getting tired of knuckleheads using moniker such as "Joe Blowey" posting stupid comments that serve absolutely no purpose.

Looks like the cable police are out & about again! Have any laws been broken today?
